This episode opens with a beautiful scene showing John helping Aeryn learn English
Of course in true Farscape style this is interrupted.
The ancients have sent out a message to John. Ancient Jack returns to find out why John has betrayed them and shared his wormhole knowledge with others.
It appears it is Furlow that has used her previous encounter with John to duplicate his module and has now made an alliance with the Charrids and the Scarrens to profit from this knowledge
The crew arrive on Dam-Ba-Da to find Furlow’s compound over-run by Charrids. Talyn comes to help but due to the planet’s solar flares he is blinded which in turn blinds Crais who now has to return to the gunship with help from Stark.
Reluctantly Rygel stays behind but is then more than happy to help rid the planet of the Charrids and sets out to kill as many as he can, starting with one that has information about a Scarren Dreadnaught arriving on the planet very soon
This dreadnaught information and the Scarren’s attempt to gain access to Furlow’s computer data leads to Jack's decision to unlock the knowledge in John’s head and use the wormhole to get rid of the Scarrens and their ship. Unfortunately this cannot be done until Harvey is removed and of course he is not going to go willingly
This first part ends with Aeryn holding a pulse pistol to John’s head as it seems Scorpius has been successful and John may no longer exist
