Thank God It's Friday, Again- 1.06

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love how this episode starts with Aeryn picking on Crichton because he hid so well it took them 3 days to find him.  I wonder where he was hiding.  Hyper rage gets explained and everyone goes down to the planet to find D'Argo.  The crew is really starting to come together as a cohesive group.  They are becoming conscious of each other's strengths and weaknesses.  Zhaan and John are both looking out for Aeryn because of the heat.  Only Rygel could try to blow himself up with his bodily fluids.

Once again Aeryn assumes Crichton has agreed to her plan, this one abandoning D'Argo if he doesn't want to come back.

My favorite line:

Nobody knows you here. It's only the people who know you who want to kill you.

This episode is so much fun and there's lots of arm porn with some nice glimpses of chest hair as well. Yeah, I'm a tralk!

The gem for me here is the exchange between Aeryn and John about Humans being related to Sebaceans. Aeryn tells John that the day she finds that out is the day that she lets herself get ripped apart by Palmolian meat hounds. I am wondering if future Aeryn is keeping an eye out for those hounds since we know that Sebaceans started out as Humans!

I love John flashing the peace sign when he is introduced to Volmae. He is soooo cheesy sometimes! But in a cute way. And John in the bed with Zhaan. He is clearly discomfited by the whole thing.  John is attracted by Zhaan's innate sensuality and is uncomfortable about it because 1: she is more of a mother figure to him and 2: she is blue. At this point, John is still very much an Earth boy.

Aeryn is starting to become the "more" that John told her she could be in Premiere. She works out how to take care of Rygel with Pilot's help and she revels in this new-found ability. I love seeing how proud she is of herself. John is proud of her, too and encourages her to continue learning. "It doesn't have to be just this once," he tells her.

Did anyone else notice the prowler parked outside the main building? I've always that it was Aeryn's prowler, but it can't be because everyone came down in the transport pod.

My favorite line? Well, it's more of a favorite exchange:

"She gives me a woody..." "...a woody. A human saying. I've heard you use it often. When you don't trust someone or they make you nervous they give you-"
"Willies. She gives you the willies."

It never fails to make me chuckle. More than that, it shows how, despite the verbal put-downs Aeryn still levies upon John, the degree of respect she affords him and how much she is learning from him.

It is Aeryn's prowler.  D'Argo went down to the planet 3 days before they did.  Aeryn mentions to John that D'Argo took her prowler when she's making fun of him for how well he can hide.  :)  It's those tiny details that make Farscape so rich.  I love looking for the little details.  Ever notice where John hides his comms?  In this episode he moves it to the inside of his vest.  I think this may be the last time he wore it in a clear spot since it starts out on his vest.
