Bringing Home The Beacon - 416
« on: December 16, 2011, 06:56:05 PM »

In the last episode we see John and Aeryn discussing their plans in Pilots den.  While the boys head off to do their Mental Arts Training with Katoya, the girls go to a dead Leviathan to locate a much needed part for Moya.

This episode shows us what the girls went through during their time away.

Their mission is to find a sensor distorter so that Moya can alter her scanned appearance to read like an oil tanker or the like.  As this sort of change is illegal they have to deal with less than desirable aliens on the black market to obtain this vital piece of equipment.

Of course this is Farscape and plans never go smoothly.  At the same time, onboard this Levianthan, Grayza and Braca are having a secret meeting with Ahkna who just happens to be a high ranking Scarren come to negotiate a supposed treaty with the peacekeepers.

Aeryn's attempt to bring an end to these negotiations is unsuccessful.  Ahkna’s capture of Grayza and Braca is foiled and Aeryn is almost left behind

Along the way Chiana and Noranti also find other services aboard this Levianthan and they undergo temporary genetic transformations    :o   to stop from being caught by the peacekeepers.

The crew is reunited and Moya’s modulator is altered just in time to escape a dreadnaught ... or maybe not.  It seems there is a homing beacon onboard Moya    :yikes:   Aeryn hasn’t made it back safely after all and a ''bioloid'' containing this beacon has been sent in her place.

We are left at the end of this episode with John sitting over the dead ''bioloid'' Aeryn.  He is devastated and my heart breaks for him    :brokenheart:

The Scarrens have the ''real'' Aeryn onboard a dreadnaught and the crew must go after her    :worried:

Great summary Nette.

Clorinda won't be able to join us.  She has to go get her MIL tonight and was afraid she wouldn't get through in time for the rewatch.  She sends her love.

I have a very sick dog that I am going to have to watch.  She was doing when I got home today but now she is just not acting right.  First clue?  She won't eat her food or her favorite snack.  She refuses them.  I may have to take her to the vet.

Have fun with the rewatch.

Thanks for the snappy recap, Nette!

Hi, Sybil!  I'm sorry Clorinda won't be able to join us.

I'm sorry to hear about your sick dog.  My doggie has been showing similar symptoms.  He's a Cavalier that loves to eat and when he walks away from his dinner there is definitely a problem.

Speaking of problems--Aeryn and company find themselves in deep, deep trouble as they try to bring home the beacon.
